A New Chapter

When I went to Rostrevor in 2019 for my six month DTS I had no idea it would be the first step leading towards a life of full time missions. In fact, after completing the program I was pretty set on staying in the U.S. and going to school, something I'd been hoping to do for several years at that point. Different friends talked to me about joining staff in Rostrevor but I thought 'No way, no how. Not gonna happen.' But here I am, having moved to Northern Ireland and living here for two years - being impacted in ways I can't fully describe. The funny thing about my relationship with God is that he often needs an extra bit of patience when putting a new idea in my head. It can take a wee while for me to think it over, poke holes in it, give it another look, and finally acquiesce with some hesitation. It takes longer still for me to actually take a shine to the idea and start getting excited about it. It's the process that happened when DTS first came into the picture. The same when it came to uprooting my life and moving continents to work with YWAM full time in Rostrevor. It's also the way I processed what's happening next. So what is next?

I'm moving to Cardiff, Wales. Where's that? Wales is a beautiful country found above England and below Scotland, on the island of Great Britain. What will I be doing in Wales? Joining the pioneering team of YWAM Cardiff! YWAM Cardiff was pioneered in 2021 by my very good friend, Lidia Lammardo. Well, 2021 is the year she was able to move to Wales but she has had this country in her heart for many years beforehand. Since moving she's had a handful of people join the vision God gave her, bringing their own pieces of the puzzle through hopes and dreams and talents God has blessed them with. I'm excited to see how I fit into this puzzle and what God has in store for the team, the city of Cardiff, and Wales as a nation. YWAM Cardiff is currently involved in homeless ministry and connected to several local churches of different denominations to help strengthen connection within the church body, and to volunteer in different ministries happening around the city. There are future dreams of running DTSs, creative arts ministries, and so much more.

As I start planning the move to Cardiff, I’m looking to build a team of people to join me in this work by supporting me, both financially and in prayer! To live and work in Cardiff I will need the minimum of a monthly income of £1,200 ($1,500). This breaks down to £40 ($50) a day. I invite you to pray and see if God is putting it on your heart to join my partnership team, whether for a full day or even a half day once a month. It wouldn't be possible for me to do what I firmly believe God has called me to without your support. Thank you very much for being a part of my community, both locally and globally!
